*OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR/BOOKKEEPER * FULL TIME EMPLOYEE • $40,000 - $50,000 ANNUAL SALARY James River Media is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Office Administrator/Bookkeeper to join our growing team and help keep our office running smoothly.
This person must have strong communication and multitasking skills, be comfortable working independently, be well organized and have an excellent ability to prioritize tasks.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a professional office setting.
If you have an eye for detail, are a team player and want to join a dynamic team, we want to hear from you! *Responsibilities Include:* • OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR: Handle incoming and outgoing mail, reception of incoming clients/ visitors and answering phones, tracking office supplies & placing orders, picking up supplies as needed, maintain a filing system for various business documents, tracking yearly subscriptions to HOME magazine, manage orders through “Bargains in the Burg”, inventory and other administrative duties as assigned.
Assist Sales Leader with various reports/ data such as monthly commission & new account reports.
Implement and maintain a system for tracking employee time off, performs other duties as assigned.
• BOOKKEEPING: Work with management and accountant on monthly and annual financial statements and assist in the reporting and evaluation of James River Media’s divisions.
Accounts Receivable: Run and send out monthly invoices, handle credit card payments, record incoming checks, track weekly deposits and take to the bank, help with aging accounts and collections.
Accounts Payable: Manage vendor accounts, track and process payments to vendors, process employee payroll and reconcile bank accounts.
*Job Requirements/Qualifications: * • Extensive knowledge of office management procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Willingness to take initiative and follow through on projects.
• 3+ years experience with QuickBooks.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of basic business software including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Ability to type at least 60 words per minute.
*Education and Experience: * • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in office administration or related field preferred.
• At least three years of administrative and bookkeeping experience required.
