Total Plastic Solutions is hiring for a Financial Controller who will be responsible for the overall financial management and accounting practices of the company, including: financial reporting, cost accounting, cash management, lender relationships, tax reporting and other administrative functions.
Leadership role, using financial and accounting expertise to establish performance measures that will help the company achieve fiscal goals.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
Oversees team members in the finance department to ensure it’s performing effectively, exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
*Duties include but are not limited to:* 1.
Manage and oversee all accounting & finance operations, i.
e.
, journal entries, bank reconciliations, asset tracking, and statutory reporting.
2.
Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with all legal and company policies and procedures.
3.
Prepare monthly financial reporting package for management team and lenders.
4.
Work with Managing Director of Operations to maintain appropriate inventory control and valuations.
5.
Work with Managing Director of Operations to define appropriate cost structures and work centers for product management.
6.
Lead the preparation of financial forecasting and analysis for various activities as needed.
7.
Manage annual external accountant Review process, preparation of tax returns and calculation of R&D Tax Credit.
8.
Manage ongoing 401k plan processes.
*Requirements and Qualifications:* *Education:* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or MBA *Certification(s) or License:* CPA or CMA a plus *Essential Knowledge:* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point) and the Internet.
Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills.
Knowledge of ERP Systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills *Work Experience:* 10+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least five years increasing responsibilities.
*Physical Requirements:* Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time, work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances.
*This position is not eligible for Teleworking.
