First National Bank is seeking a Financial Advisor to join the Investments team, reporting to the Program Manager.
The Financial Advisor is a member of the Investments team and partners with clients to assist them in achieving their short and long-term financial goals: retirement, building wealth, maintaining financial security, and more.
Individual provides financial advice and matching investment and insurance solutions to support and maintain client’s needs and goals.
Builds and maintains client bases, keeps current client portfolios up-to-date, and works closely with other lines of business (LOB) partners to build a portfolio of new clients on an on-going basis.
LPL Financial partners with First National Bank to offer a complete menu of financial services to the bank’s clients.

The Financial Advisor is not an employee of LPL Financial.
However, he/she is a representative of LPL Financial.
Customer Service: This is a customer service role whose primary customers are his/her clients.
Secondarily, this role provides customer service to any person (internal or external) who seeks service from the Investment Department.
Supervisory: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Data confidentiality, security and integrity: All Bank personnel, including the Financial Advisor, are charged with maintaining the confidentiality, security and integrity of the Bank’s data records whether in electronic, paper or other format.
Compliance with policies and procedures that provide direction regarding confidentiality, information security, technology security, network security, physical property security, asset security, document security, and employee security.
Accessing customer or other confidential information only on a need-to-know, taking-care-of-business basis.
Holding and protecting keys and security codes for access to various First National Bank offices and systems.
Locking the workstation when not present.
Reporting any suspected breaches of confidentiality or security immediately to supervisor or other bank officer.
What will you be doing in this role? Executes the directives of the Investments Program Manager, Chief Revenue Officer and others members of management.
Achieves production and growth goals around client relationships and Assets Under Management, as well as referrals to other line of business (LOB) partners.
Maintains regular communication with clients to ensure goals and objectives are understood and aligns with investment recommendations.
Updates tracking systems for customer contacts such as schedules for customer account reviews, surveys for incoming and outgoing customer correspondence, logs of gifts and gratuities, and a blotter for checks and securities.
Completes client account transactions timely and accurately that fall within the Advisor’s range of authority based on the licenses held.
Ensures prompt, appropriate response to clients and prospective clients.
Works closely with others LOB partners to identify key prospects and existing clients for further relationship development and develops a strong referral pipeline to ensure employee referral goal attainment.
Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of all banking products and services to facilitate cross-selling, enhance the customer experience, and obtain new business.
Accountable for understanding and following policies, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with bank policies and related laws and regulations.
Plans, organizes and participates in seminars, presentations and leadership events to drive client and prospect engagement with First National Bank, LPL and its partners.
Represents the Bank and LPL in community activities including business, charitable, civic and social organizations and events.
Demonstrates a commitment to First National Bank Values and Customer Service Standards in every interaction with internal and external customers.
Incorporates the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by being a positive example.
Represents First National Bank in the marketplace and promoting good relationships with all constituencies.
Requirements: What will you need? Experience, education, knowledge, skills and abilities: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, sales, marketing or related field, or equivalent to five years’ professional experience in business development, sales, finance or other business-related field.
Three or more years of investment sales experience required, preferably in a bank environment.
Proven history of production and clean compliance record expected.
Broad knowledge of wealth management, investment, banking, credit and fiduciary solutions.
Broad knowledge of investments, taxes, insurance, retirement plans, and their relationship to estate planning.
Series 7, 63, 65 or 66 and a Life and Health license required.
Reputation for excellence in customer service.
Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively and have positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
Self-motivated and motivating to colleagues and line of business (LOB) partners.
Ability to set, pursue, and attain achievable goals, regardless of obstacles or circumstances.
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, time-management, and organizational skills.
Must show strong initiative and work quickly and accurately.
Ability to travel daily to generate business and/or meet with clients within given territory.
Some flexibility to work outside of normal business hours required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook required.
