Kendal at Lexington is searching for a well-qualified Financial Controller.
Kendal at Lexington is a CARF-accredited, not-for-profit Life Plan Retirement Community located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.

Position Summary:
Responsible for managing the financial operations of Kendal at Lexington by ensuring the accuracy of the financial records and reporting.
Supports the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Department.
The controller provides oversight of the accounts payable and cash receipt functions by supervising the Accounting Assistant.
In this role, there is growth potential to transition into the Chief Financial Officer position.
Key Functions:
Oversee the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance
Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory agencies
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
Manage cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity.
Oversee the payroll and benefits administration process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation highly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial analysis
Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in MS Office and accounting software
