Why Work With Our Client Accounting Team
As the Client Accounting Advisory Senior Associate, you will simultaneously conduct multiple engagements, maintaining secondary contact with clients.
This level is the first-line direct supervisor of CAAS In-Charge Associates, CAAS Associates and CAAS Support Associates.
A CAAS Senior Associate displays technical skills, communication skills, and judgement essential for developing staff and dealing with clients.
CAAS Senior Associates begin management training.
What Your Day Looks Like
Directs engagements, which includes the timeline, budget, schedule and CAAS staff required
Reviews and prepares complex weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for clients.
Reviews and prepares monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports and 1099's
Reviews and performs monthly journal entries, financial reports, statements and other documents as needed
Reviews and performs bank reconciliations
Troubleshoots and responds to calls from clients regarding issues that may include bookkeeping, QuickBooks Online, payroll etc.
Supervises CAAS In-Charge Associates, Associates and Support Associates
Operates accounting software to record, store and analyze client information
Effectively uses various technologies to perform job duties
May be responsible for several jobs at one time
Complies with federal, states and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
Participates in business development and identifies opportunities to cross-sell services
Participates in proposals and other practice development/marketing activities
What You Need To Be Successful
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA designation preferred
5-7 years of bookkeeping experience or similar accounting experience
Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office Suite experience
High level proficiency in QuickBooks Online or other accounting software (i.
e.
Bill.
com, ADP, etc.
)
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting payable/receivable principles
Experience working in a client service role building client relationships
Experience preparing and demonstrating technology solutions preferred
Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills
Knowledge of financial statement preparation
Strong data entry skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of payroll processes, such as writing checks and submitting payroll taxes
Knowledge of firm products and services in CAAS and a general knowledge of products and services in other practice areas
