Job Description Overview The Senior Reimbursement Analyst will support monthly close processes by performing calculations for net patient revenues, net patient accounts receivable and third party settlements.
This position will inform Finance leadership on the status of accounts receivable reserves by analyzing and researching transactional and claims data.
Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains monthly contractual estimate model ensuring cleared claims factors, case mix index, and case rates are updated and accurately reflected Assists with review and analysis of bad debt and charity activity of the organization Provides support for monthly AR modeling, review, and analysis Manages schedules, accruals, and periodic assessment payments for the Medicaid Upper Payment Limit program Develops reporting tools and provides analytic support for cost report preparation and other third party settlement account reviews Prepares monthly revenue reconciliations for all patient billing systems Facilitate quarterly audit sampling with patient accounting Collaborates with Finance Team on monthly closing, budget, tax returns, financial analysis and special projects Other Functions: Keeps abreast of changes in federal and state regulatory guidelines related to healthcare reimbursement May perform other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: This role will not supervise direct reports.
Travel Required Travel is expected to be between 0% and 5% of the time.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
The setting for this role will include office settings.
Exposure to controlled temperature environments, both hot and cold, is to be expected.
Workplace Exposure: The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.
Persons who perform these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency medical care or first aid or to be potentially exposed in some other way.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with others.
