The Center for Church Advancement Administrator position is a full-time position.
The Administrator is directly responsible to and assists the Dean of the School of Divinity (SOD) and the Director of the Center for Church Advancement (CCA) in whatever areas deemed necessary.
The Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day systems and organization of the CCA.
The Administrator is also involved in helping to design, plan, coordinate, and implement educational programs and opportunities for holistic spiritual development of Liberty students.
The Administrator is responsible for updating electronic files and keeping complete and accurate record of CCA financial and organizational documents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Under the direction of the Dean and the Director, help oversee strategies and provide administrative leadership and scheduling for the office.
2.
Work closely with Director to create and coordinate courses within the EVCP program and others as needed in order to train up the next generation of church planters, revitalizers, and leaders.
Will also help develop systems that will engage doctoral level students in research projects that will connect to church planting and/or revitalization opportunities.
3.
Work closely with Director to create and coordinate campus events to reach and equip students on campus as they seek to live out their vocational calling to the glory of God.
4.
Assist in developing and distributing resources to come alongside churches in their quest to fulfill the great commission through the research and publication of materials to encourage and assist churches to become sending churches, etc and resourcing marketing and graphics needs for CCA.
5.
Oversee and maintain content on the CCA website and develop and maintain future digital systems to engage with local churches.
6.
Work with the SOD Office of Experiential Learning in order to help create and maintain a database of churches who are internship and residency locations as well as to streamline the process of churches recruiting Liberty students, with specific attention to church planters, church planting minor students, and EVCP students.
7.
Assist in directing and managing the CCA responsibilities connected to the Modern Ministry Podcast.
8.
Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the SOD.
9.
Provide information and assistance to prospective students and visitors.
10.
Assist administration with student-related issues/resolutions (President, Vice President, Student Advocate, International Student Office, etc.
).
11.
Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
12.
Assist the Dean and Director with other various duties and functions as deemed appropriate.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position is responsible for overseeing events and volunteers connected to the Center for Church Advancement.
This position would also help coordinate any GSA positions within the Center.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS Education and Experience The Administrator must have an undergraduate degree.
A working knowledge of student issues and educational trends, as they relate to higher education, is necessary.
Experience with administration and event planning are preferred and related experience is considered.
ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOB Communication and Comprehension Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.
Natural inclination toward connecting with college students and spiritually mentoring them.
Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
Possess public communication skills and group leadership skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to students and a variety of business, government and community customers and associates.
Strong organizational skills.
Problem Solving Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
Physical and Sensory Abilities Occasionally required to travel to local and campus locations.
Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard.
Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.
Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds WORKING CONDITIONS Work Environment Candidate is expected to work in a variety of work settings around campus, including office setting, public gatherings, small groups, etc.
Regular mobility by car, bus, or by foot is required around campus.
Driving Requirements Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position.
Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
