Lakewood Baptist Church is currently seeking a qualified applicant to fill an Administrative Assistant position.
Details:
Hourly
Monday-Friday
9am-5pm (with some flexibility)
Principal Function:
To oversee the operation of the church office under the supervision and direction of the Lead Pastor.
Essential functions include general clerical and administrative task as well as receptionist duties.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in clerical/administrative office setting
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (e.
g.
Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.
) and basic computing tasks (typing, email, etc.
)
Some experience with Customer Relationship Management software (such as Planning Center, PowerChurch, or similar)
Proficient in the use of office equipment (computer, copier, printer, etc.
)
Good interpersonal and organizational skills
Salary:
$16-20 per hour – negotiable based on experience
Paid Holidays and vacation
As an employee of the church, the Administrative Assistant must understand that s/he is working on behalf of a Christian church and that his/her employment is a reflection of the character of Jesus Christ and the ministry of Lakewood Baptist Church.
In this regard, the Administrative Assistant must fully support and live consistently and in accordance with our Statement of Faith and Christian standards of living as set forth in the church’s employee handbook or bylaws, by such directives as may be issued from church leadership, and most importantly by biblical standards.
