Information Technology Technician Intern
World Help, a Christian humanitarian organization serving the physical and spiritual needs of impoverished communities around the world, is looking to hire an Information Technology Technician Intern to serve as a support role to World Help for all technological instances while providing front-line operational support to World Help Staff Members through hardware and software troubleshooting, maintaining network infrastructure, backing up and securing data, and keeping a clear line of communication open for employee IT requests.
Together, these responsibilities allow the Information Technology Technician Intern to ensure that World Help’s operations continue without interruption and to keep all types of data/information (both sensitive and miscellaneous) stored and secure.
Whoever is taking on this role must be adaptable, exhibit strong communication skills, and have fanatical attention to detail.

* Scope of Job* * *85% - IT Support - *Time will be dedicated to monitoring, troubleshooting, and fulfilling IT Requests regarding equipment, hardware, software, and World Help’s network.
Time will also be dedicated to responding to IT emergencies during working hours as new issues come to fruition.
* * 10% - Inventory Management *- Time will be dedicated to conducting IT Audits throughout the internship including building assets and inventory checks.
* * 5% - Assisting Media Operations* - Time will be dedicated to assisting run media/video for in-person and remote staff meetings, ensuring that each meeting runs smoothly and that employees have a positive experience while attending these meetings.
* Primary Duties and Responsibilities* * Provide technical assistance, support, and configuration assistance through IT ticketing system to end-users regarding computer systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
* Respond to user inquiries promptly, either in person, over the phone, or via email, and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and interruptions.
* Set up and troubleshoot network connections, printers, and other IT equipment.
* Assist in the deployment, maintenance, and support of IT infrastructure, including World Help computers, network equipment, printers, etc.
when personnel changes occur and/or new IT-related tools are available for employee use.
* Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as system updates, virus scans, and data backups.
* Collaborate with the IT Manager to identify and recommend improvements in IT procedures, systems, and workflows.
* Document and maintain accurate records of IT assets, inventory, and technical issues through designated IT platform.
* Adhere to IT policies, procedures, and security protocols to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of organizational data.
* Assist IT Manager in running media/video for in-person and virtual events that utilize Zoom when necessary.
* Assist with creating IT-Related Knowledge Database Articles through Slab to provide easy-to-read instruction to staff.
* Perform weekly checks on building assets, inventory, printer paper, and toner to ensure that supplies are always readily available to staff.
* Any additional duties needed or assigned to help drive the mission, vision, and organizational values of World Help.
* Required Skills, Experience, and Education* * Enrolled in an Information Technology or related field degree program, or recently graduated with an interest in pursuing a career in Information Technology.
* Technical and computer efficient.
* Possesses strong interpersonal skills that allow for efficient teamwork.
* Clear/effective written and verbal communication skills * Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education* * Knowledge and experience with Mac OS and Windows operating systems, software, hardware, and technology upgrades as they are released.
* Familiar with Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
* Basic knowledge of LAN, WAN, Powershell, Microsoft server, TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS, DNS, SNMP, FTP, HTTP, and SMTP.
* Abide by ITIL best practices regarding incident management, configuration management, and all other applicable functions.

* This position requires sitting at desk and computer most of the day.
* Must be able to carry 50lbs or more and crouch/bend down for long periods of time while working with wiring and equipment.
