General Function: Under supervision of the Director of Human Resources, this individual assists with the administrative support of day-to-day human resources and business operation for Belvac Production Machinery.
The HR Coordinator will provide dedicated support on employee administration, transaction documentation and HR policies, regulations.
Provides a courteous, congenial and professional atmosphere to employees and visitors in person, by phone and email.
Primary Responsibilities: Front Desk: Maintain the reception area to promote and facilitate a business atmosphere.
Answers calls as necessary and direct them as quickly as possible, offering the caller assistance if the party is not available by either directing them to voice mail or paging if necessary.
Order office supplies such as paper, toner, office items.
Prepare bank deposits for Finance.
Assist guests if needed when registering with the visitor management system.
Provide safety glasses and safety toes if necessary.
Maintain kitchen area filling supplies and collecting money.
Maintain calendars for conference rooms.
Sort all incoming mail and distribute.
Weigh and put postage on all outgoing mail.
Maintain copier, fax machine and postage meter.
Update phone list, visitor list and mailbox list as changes occur.
Print new mailbox and phone directory and display on countertop below mailboxes.
Keep Visitor Marquee Board up to date with customers visiting.
Hang appropriate flags for international visitors.
Other duties as required.
Human Resources: Assist managers with the identification, selection, and interviewing of candidates.
Assist managers with recruiting tasks as needed (job postings, application review, schedule and conduct candidate screens and interviews).
Assist with pre-boarding and onboarding of employees, i.
e.
, staying in touch with them, answering their questions, sending them relevant material, etc.
Assist the HR Manager with the onboarding and utilization of temporary workers.
Plan and schedule New Hire Orientation.
Conduct sections of New Hire Orientation, as needed.
Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
Generate and compile reports utilizing Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Assist employees with HR and benefits related questions and issues.
Assist employees and managers with basic interpretation of HR policies and practices.
Oversee the company uniform distribution process with employees and vendors.
Create employee identification badges and maintain security system access.
Schedule meetings, HR events and maintain agendas.
Support the HR Director in educating employees and reinforcing company policies.
Support the HR Director with special (ad hoc) projects.
Report to the HR Director about all HR endeavors Seek out and make suggestions for improvements of HR processes.
Create and distribute organizational announcements.
Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: BS/BA degree in Human Resources/Industrial/Labor Relations/Business or related field or Associate degree in Human Resources or business with 1 year of experience in a Human Resources position.
Experience with or knowledge of HR Systems and HR practices in the US.
Proficient Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel and PPT.
Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills.
Approachable and responsive - able to connect with employees at all levels.
Strong interest in innovative HR solutions and process improvement.
Not afraid to "roll up your sleeves" and get involved in details.
Enthusiastic team player with a “can-do” approach and a strong drive to create a positive work environment.

Prior experience as HR Assistant, HR Coordinator or other HR roles.
Hands-on experience with an HRIS.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
