Job Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator position supports a broad range of disciplines including recruitment, employee relations, and benefits.
The Human Resources Coordinator ensures their work is conducted in accordance with federal and state regulations, company policy and procedures.
This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping and HRIS entry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with talent acquisition, schedules interviews for all locations, tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up candidates at the end of the recruiting process.
Conducts on-boarding at all Foster Fuels' facilities according to the position location.
Maintains and verifies I-9 documentation with E-Verify.
Protects confidential information of the company and its employees
Submits and assists with new-employee background checks and drug screens.
Provides assistance by answering employee requests and questions.
Researches and writes job descriptions and employee requisitions.
Assists with processing of employee status changes.
Schedules meetings as requested by the VP of HR.
Prepares and maintains employee files.
Establishes relationships with technical schools, truck driving schools, and local school and universities for recruiting.
Assists with providing research for policies, training, and other human resource initiatives.
Creates and maintains human resource reports.
Provides support on projects and implementations as assigned.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, and/or equivalent experience
Minimum of 1 year of HR experience in a corporate environment including recruiting, onboarding, and compliance.
Familiar and knowledgeable with legal and legislative requirements of Human Resources.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Experience with HRIS/TAQ software and system implementations.
Strong time management, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills including investigations and corrective actions.
Exceptional organizational skills required.
