Foster Fuels, a wholesale fuel distribution company, is looking to hire and retain a skilled employee who is committed, courteous, knowledgeable, and hard working.
Customer service, safety, dependability, punctuality are top priorities for Foster Fuels employees.
The Propane Service Billing Clerk will work in the Propane Operations Division processing invoices for payment and preparing customer invoices with impeccable detail and care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare daily bills and invoices and complete the invoicing process for submission to customers.
Ensure actual cost match customer's quoted job specs.
Track Contractor/Builder multi-staged billing to ensure accuracy.
Answer phone calls and emails in a timely manner with the utmost courtesy and professional demeanor to respond to customer inquiries regarding service, pricing and delivery schedules.
Assist customers with account balance explanation and make collections calls as necessary
Generates recurring charges on accounts and reconcile monthly.
Maintain records for reporting purposes on all transactions.
Assist operations team in resolving issues or customer service problems.
Reviews accounts in detail for appliance inventory billing accuracy
Determines accuracy of accounts and reconciles account balances with the assistance of the accounting team
Support overall department goals and objectives and perform any other administrative duties as assigned.
Be aware of current promotional items and the correct pricing.
Assist the Accounting department with monthly inventory reconciliations.
Communicate across departments, including sales and services, to ensure accurate invoicing.
Required Skills:
Requires proficient Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams and knowledge of database and related functions.
Previous experience in a billing or accounting function is a must.
Working knowledge of accounting software.
1-3 years' Experience with Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required, associate degree or higher preferred.
Requires Excellent Communications and customer service skills.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Associate degree or higher education level
Fuel Industry Experience in a high-volume, high-pressure environment
Proven Customer Service skills resolving customer calls related to customer accounts and billing questions
