The essential duties of the Extended Care (or “Lunch Bunch”) teacher are to:
+ Supervise and ensure the safety and security of students during the Lunch Bunch program from 11:45- 3:15 Monday through Friday.
+ Act as lead teacher in guiding the extended day class through the afternoon schedule, which includes lunchtime, indoor play, outdoor play, craft projects, storytime, etc.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly after-school care environment
+ Maintain required records for after-school care (attendance reports, etc)
+ Communicate with parents of after-school care students, as needed
+ Assist children with bathroom breaks and diapering.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by Director & Asst Director
Qualifications:
+ A heart for pre-school aged children and passion for Early Childhood Education.
+ Warm, caring, classroom leadership.
+ Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
+ Punctual, detail-oriented with strong attention to follow-through
+ Able, unassisted, to lift and carry children up to 50 pounds in weight.
+ Able to work outdoors in all temperatures.
+A minimum of a high school diploma is required with a current or in-progress degree in Early Childhood Education or similar field preferable.
Consideration will for experience in the classroom or educational environment.
