This is a wonderful opportunity to work with active duty Navy families who have at least one child with a special need or disability in the family's home.
Qualifications for this position include experience working with children with special needs and/or disability, reliable transportation, and current or be willing to get CPR/First Aid certification.
It is very important that the candidate be reliable, trustworthy, responsible and love working with children.
This position is part-time, and offers flexible hours up to 40 hours per month.
The family is requesting care during the weekdays- Monday, Wednesday, and /or Friday from 8:00AM - 2:00PM and occasional weekends.
Additionally, this position requires a dedicated person who is willing to go through the military's screening process.
This process includes a federal & state background check, CPS (child protective services) clearance, sex offender registry check, reference checks, a medication dispensation course, and a recognizing child abuse and neglect course.
All checks and courses are reimbursed.
