POSITION SUMMARY
Assists students during the boarding, riding and exiting of the school bus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists students with boarding and exiting school buses.
Secures students in car seats or seat belts as needed/required.
Maintains acceptable standards of conduct and dress.
Assists in the transfer of students from one bus to another.
Supervises students while on the school bus.
Maintains courteous, professional and effective working relationships with parents, students, school staff, school officials and all levels of employees.
Works the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks.
Performs related duties as necessary and as assigned by the supervisor for transportation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma and/or GED.
Successful experience working with children is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Candidate must be eighteen (18) years of age, minimum.
An active and valid Virginia Driver's License is preferred.
Relates well to all students.
Relates well to colleagues and supervisors.
