We serve our beer on-site as well as through state-wide distribution in Virginia.
*The Position: *This is a full-time position with the primary responsibility of supporting our 30-barrel brewhouse through cellar work.

*The ideal candidate will have the following:*
* Minimum of 1 year of cellar experience
* Strong mechanical skills
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Familiarity with classic and newer beer styles
* Strong commitment to continuous improvement
*General Responsibilities and Functions:*
* Transfer and cellar beer.
* CIP tanks and cellar equipment.
* Dry hop, add adjuncts, puree and fine beers.
* Check gravities.
* Dispose of yeast.
* Maintain workplace safety while upholding quality standards.
* Continually lift, drag, carry and manipulate hoses, parts, pumps, buckets and reservoirs.
* Maintain accurate and legible records.
* Sanitation of all beer contact surfaces and equipment.
* Assist with the cleaning of entire brewing facility.
* All tasks associated with the canning process, including and not limited to: catching of cans, proper stacking of cases on pallets, folding boxes, quality control of fill levels and proper seams, staging pallets, wrapping pallets and proper clean in place procedures.
* All tasks associated with the kegging process, including and not limited to: scrubbing keg shell exteriors, use of the keg washer and filler machine, repeated lifting and palletizing of full kegs, and proper clean in place procedures.
* Maintain daily pH, temperature, and flow data for wastewater reporting.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Physical Qualifications:*
* Involves frequent walking, carrying, and lifting objects varying from 50 pounds to 150 pounds.
* Repeated use of brewing equipment that requires manipulative skills and hand-eye coordination.
* Ability to stand for prolonged amounts of time without breaks
*Work Environment:*
* The duties of this job frequently expose the employee to a wet environment with extremely hot liquids, grain and hop particles, chemicals, and moving machinery.
* The employee will occasionally be exposed to a very loud environment when machines are being used.
