RACS is currently seeking a motivated, qualified individual to work in our coverage area of Rockbridge and Bathy County, and the Cities of Lexington and Buena Vista.
RACS will provide training, supervision, and education opportunities specific to the position.

Position Overview:
The Facility Custodian is essential in maintaining RACS building and properties in a way that allows the Agency to provide a clean, orderly, and safe location for our clients, visitors, and staff.
The position requires the use of sound judgement, the ability to demonstrate initiative, function with little direct supervision, rely on experience and knowledge to problem solve, maintain a high degree of confidentiality, and a strong work ethic.
Performs a wide variety of maintenance and cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuum, trash removal, deep cleaning, sanitation, landscaping, and furniture moving.
This position will be Monday-Friday 12pm-8pm.
Qualifications:
One to three years of experience in custodial and/or building maintenance
Physical - handle a daily facility custodial workload
Good working knowledge of cleaning processes/procedures
Good working knowledge of chemical and equipment used with this position
Able to handle small building issues/fixes
Able to communicate and work in a behavioral healthcare environment
Respect for confidentiality toward clients
Problem solve and work as a part of a team
Flexible with work schedule and work to be completed

Background Investigation Requirements:

Probationary Period:
All persons that are newly hired, rehired, transferred, promoted, or demoted into a Rockbridge Area Community Services position must serve a new 6-month probationary period.
