Job Description Overview The Security Systems Coordinator oversees all Photo ID Badge processes while integrating related applications including timekeeping, human resources, employee education, video surveillance and employee payroll deductions throughout the Centra system.
The coordinator will manage and maintain all security technology systems including the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Card Access, Infant Abduction and Burglary Alarms throughout the Centra system.
Coordination of all related applications will contribute to a safe and secure work environment for all employees, physicians, students, volunteers, visitors and patients.
This role is an integral part of the design, implementation, and evaluation of all security systems in the Workplace Violence Prevention programming.
THIS IS INTENDED FOR A PRIMARY ROLE ONLY! Responsibilities Daily production and replacement of photo ID's for all employees and non-employees throughout the Centra system.
Assign appropriate security access levels at all Centra locations to anyone issued a Centra photo ID defined by the hiring manager or outside agency.
Assist the corporate director in the coordination of security needs for major and minor construction and renovation projects at any Centra locations (owned or leased) with Plant Engineering's construction management team.
Prepare system wide departmental financial estimates for all new security project requests.
Responsible for maintenance and repairs to the CCTV, card access systems, infant abduction, and burglary alarms at all locations.
Process all security department invoices; properly charging the expense to the correct department.
Perform timekeeping tasks for all department employees through the Kronos system.
Assist outside law enforcement agencies with investigations and collection of relevant evidence gathered through security systems and documentation.
Maintain departmental security occurrence reports for review by the appropriate personnel.
Collect designated security statistics for review by the department director monthly for all Lynchburg operations.
Maintain the Security department web page for all Centra sites.
Participates as an effective team member in support of departmental goals and Centra's values.
Collaborates with Information Technology on system infrastructure and system updates for all security technology Responsible for utilization of security functionality to perform investigations for Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management and regulatory concerns.
May perform other duties as assigned and job specification can be modified or updated at any time.
Qualifications Associates or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Two years of experience required in working with card access systems of any kind in a healthcare or industrial setting.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Understanding of basic statistical analysis.
Strong customer service skills.
