Company Info Delta Star provides power solutions for utilities across North America.
This includes the manufacturing of medium-power transformers, mobile transformers, mobile electrical substations, trailers, and unitized substations.
We offer power transformers for utility applications including power and distribution, transmission voltages, system ties, and automatic voltage regulations, as well as industrial applications.
Delta Star also provides comprehensive engineering, testing, maintenance services, and parts for any transformer manufacturer through our Field Service business unit, ensuring our customer's transformers and mobiles maintain peak performance.
Purpose To develop and maintain in-house Engineering design software for use across all business locations.
Main Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain new in-house software for the design of power transformers.
Maintain and update as necessary existing in-house software.
Follow the software development lifecycle.
Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and comments and clear code.
Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Interface with engineering users directly for identification of problems and programming needs.
Education and Work Experience Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the following work: Object oriented design and programming C# .
NET programming for Windows based personal computers using Microsoft Visual Studio Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.
0 management Creating and modifying IIS web services in .
NET C# for database access Microsoft Team Foundation Server use for source code backup Microsoft SQL database management for table and field design and security Debug and update existing C# .
