is currently seeking an IT Support Analyst for its Lynchburg, VA location! The IT Support Analyst works as a member of the Information Technology team to extend 1st and 2nd level support to local and remote end users.
This position deals with issues or problems that often require thoughtful evaluation before coming up with approaches or solutions.
This position must develop and maintain good working relationships, resolve problems, and positively influence others to successfully produce customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities and Duties: Provide 1st and 2nd level Service Desk support to local site and remote end users.
Minimize equipment failures through proper design and setup of standardized desktop systems and processes.
Install, relocate, and upgrade PC hardware, software, peripherals, and other devices to satisfy business and end-user requirements.
Work with IT Operations management to determine the strategic direction for the desktop environment, including evaluating and testing new technologies.
Develop work procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and end-user technical documentation related to the desktop environment.
Maintain computer cabinets, storage rooms, and inventory of PCs, Laptops, peripherals, and parts.
Ensure effective communication between desktop support team and the rest of the IT organization, including status reports of projects and systems issues.
Provide, configure, troubleshoot, and track company smartphones and broadband devices.
Carry out audit tasks to ensure secure systems and perform management oversight to meet SOX and internal audit commitments.
Plan and execute User system refresh.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum job requirements: High school diploma.
Two (2) years of related experience, including IT support.
Technical proficiency in areas relating to computer hardware, computer operating systems, and desktop applications.
Experience in PC imaging and software package creation and deployment.
Ability to make contacts with other departments, requiring tact and judgment to ensure effective support.
Ability to report to work at an assigned office location in Lynchburg, VA.
Ability to identify, research, and resolve desktop system issues in a timely manner.
Commitment to ongoing training and new system implementation.
Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and handle multiple tasks successfully.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex situations independently.
Ability to develop effective working relationships with customers, co-workers and administration.
Must be a U.
S.
citizen with no dual citizenship.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.
S.
Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.
Additional Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Benefits: The IT Support Analyst position will work a 9/80 work week while receiving market leading pay, paid time off, paid winter holiday shutdown, educational refund plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance options and service-based retirement contributions with additional 401k match.
The base salary range for this position in Virginia at the start of employment is expected to be between $47,000 and $71,000 per year.
However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
