Job Description:
* Provide excellent patient interaction in assisting primarily at check in: meet and greet patients upon arrival for their appointment, become familiar with insurances, check demographic information on record, scan appropriate supporting documentation, answer the multiline telephone system, etc.
* Be willing to learn the process for check out, referrals, assist the center clinical staff as time permits with the following which includes but is not limited to calling patients with test results, providing follow up options, updating the logbooks, returning patient outreaches, etc.
* Train on the referral process
* Attend training sessions on topics such as HIPPA, OSHA, ADA/CDC compliance and others
Qualifications:
* Dependability and reliablity are a must
* Be willing and able to multitask - flexibility is key
* Implement critical thinking and use sound judgment
* Communicate effectively, appropriately and diplomatically
* Have familiarity and be comfortable with computers
* Work with minimal supervision and enjoy a faced paced, team centered environment
* Ability to maintain confidentiality in protecting personal health information
* Successfully pass a background check
Experience:
* Previous experience in a medical setting is preferred
* Knowledge of health information management is helpful
* Being bilingual and/or knowledge of sign language is a plus
