edu Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties The Virginia Military Institute Department of Applied Mathematics invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in applied mathematics at the assistant professor level.
The appointment begins 1 August 2024.
Candidates should demonstrate excellence in teaching, including the ability to mentor undergraduates in research projects, and have an ongoing program of scholarly activity.
The successful candidate will teach a wide variety of undergraduate courses.
Faculty members are expected to participate in cadet development and professional citizenship duties, such as advising and committee work.
Members of the faculty wear uniforms and adhere to military customs and courtesy although military experience is not required.
This position requires in person teaching.

in Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
