Spring - Assistant Track Coach

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the head coach of the Track program.
Coaching, instructing, and performing other duties assigned by the coach and or Athletic Director necessary to the development of the individuals and the team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists the head coach with planning and teaching student-athletes the rules, techniques, and equipment to become a better track athlete.
Assists and directs individual and group practice activities as assigned by the head coach.
Monitoring student-athletes during practices and competitions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Previous coaching experience is preferred.
Experience in track and field and track and field techniques is essential.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The coach must have completed a mandatory coaches certification class under the Virginia High School League.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
None
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Minimal travel may be required to and from sporting events within neighboring localities.
