PLDR Law seeks to add a motivated, team-oriented attorney to make an immediate impact in our growing firm.
As an attorney with our Firm, you’ll be part of a 15-attorney team working on a diverse array of challenging matters that include, but are by no means limited to, a mix of employment law, civil litigation, estate planning, commercial transactions, and Virginia’s new gaming laws.
Our ideal candidate is an excellent teammate and has the drive and polish to build their own book of business while also supporting our efforts to build systems that ensure we are most effective, efficient, and strategic.
Our immediate needs are in employment law and civil litigation, but are open to a candidate with a wide array of preferred practice areas.

We put the client experience and relationship with our firm first, above all else, and we’re looking for an attorney who enjoys: * Working directly with clients to create legal strategies with them in person and on the phone/video * Working as part of a team, performing the actions within your job description and responsibilities but also assisting other team members when needed * Legal technology and innovation * Pushing against the status quo, not just doing things the way they've "always been done" * Always doing the right thing for clients, no matter what * Accomplishing clear performance expectations * Open and transparent feedback and communication, and being rewarded for exceeding expectations *Salary Range: * Starting salary commensurate with experience *Responsibilities: * * Providing a comprehensive, anticipatory, and enjoyable experience for our clients * Guiding new and existing clients through legal strategies that will be in their best interests * Contributing to the success of the team even if it means going outside of your job description * Contributing to our solid team culture and lean, efficient operations * Helping to grow the firm's presence throughout the region *Qualifications: * The ideal candidate will have experience working in firms with relationship-driven client operations, meeting with clients and involvement in consultation meetings, counseling clients on best practices and legal compliance, experience moving clients through the litigation process, and drafting and reviewing labor and employment documents.
They will be driven to exceed expectations and contribute to the growth of the firm in a meaningful way and will have the following qualifications: * Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia * At least 3 years of experience working with civil litigation and/or employment law * High emotional intelligence * Business and tech-savvy, or a quick learner * Experience with, and comfort with, one-on-one consultation meetings with clients on your own *About PLDR Law * With locations in Lynchburg and Danville, VA, PLDR Law provides comprehensive legal services to Central and Southern Virginia.
