Job Duties
The Deputy Clerk (Grade 9} is assigned operation responsibilities and ensure court's instructions are executed and legal papers are prepared with accuracy and in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures in a high volume, fast paced office with frequent deadlines and time sensitive statutory requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities -
Processes criminal warrants and traffic summons, as well as civil petitions and motions for custody, visitation, and child support, and other cases within the jurisdiction of the JDR Court, to include case entry, updating, scheduling and issuance of service to parties.
Provides customer service to members of the public, to include attorneys, agency person, and law enforcement, both in person and over the telephone.
Receipts payments, provides assistance to the judges in the courtroom when needed and updates paperwork after court proceedings, ensuring post court requirements regarding assessment fines and costs and disposition notices are met.
Position requires meeting frequent deadlines in accordance with statutory requirements; must be able to multitask and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Must be able to lift 15 lbs.

Training and work-related education provided.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must be detail-oriented and have strong written and verbal communication skills and advanced knowledge of office automation systems and computer software.
Additional Considerations
Demonstrated customer service skills and organization skills preferred.
