The Aquatics Manager is responsible to provide leadership to all aquatic operations of the Liberty Natatorium.
The manager will provide direction to student workers under them in the facility.
Managers are responsible for scheduling, evaluating, and providing training to equip staff on a daily basis to perform duties of the lifeguard position.
In addition the aquatics manager will perform general maintenance task related to the efficient operation of the pool equipment and serve as primary point of contact during events.
The Aquatics Manager is to provide excellent customer service to all patrons and ensure a safe and positive experience in the facility.
GENERAL DUTIES
Daily maintenance including chemical monitoring and adjusting, pool equipment maintenance, deck maintenance and filtration system monitoring.
Event support including equipment set-up/removal and customer service.
Enforce safety standards for aquatics operations including surveillance and assistance in emergency situations.

Student worker staff
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Minimum Qualifications:
Lifeguard certified
One year of lifeguarding experience
Preferred Qualifications:
CPO certifications
LSI certification

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is split between a climate-controlled office setting and an aquatics facility.
Both areas are well lit and the noise level is moderate.
Work in aquatic facilities will necessitate handling aquatic chemicals to maintain a safe environment.
Driving Requirements
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position.
Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
