Job Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership and supervision for all Primary Counselors and Group Facilitators.
Responsibilities include:
Meet regularly with counselors and other clinical staff on an individual basis for case review.
Participates in on-going chart reviews to ensure compliance with Federal/State requirements.
Intakes on new patients/supervision of other clinical staff completing intakes.
Assignment of clients to counselors.
Provide counseling hours to clients, individual or group, per Federal/State requirements.
Maintain and provide supervision on all program requirements including client clinical medical record.
Provide training, consultation and direction in dealing with difficult clients.
Attend all required management and supervision meetings.
Management of any personnel issues with regards to counseling staff.
Interview for the hiring of new counseling staff and conduct/supervise training efforts.
Conduct annual performance reviews and manage disciplinary processes with all counseling staff.
Utilize the computer and related software for the daily functions of the position as necessary.
Interpretation of policies and procedures to be able to provide supervision in all clinical matters to staff and patients.
Assist as needed in the areas of state and CARF inspections, staff meetings, client concerns, and other areas as needed.
Participate in ongoing training per program/State/Federal requirements.
Provide assistance in ongoing in-house training requirements.
Perform other functions related to the position as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS
Licensed or certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia with relevant training, experience, or both, in the treatment of individuals with substance use disorder AND LCADC LCSW or LPC must have the CCS credential as well.
CSAC- Supervisor preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a substance use disorder treatment setting in a supervisory role preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Supervisory skills required.
Leadership skills in decision making and problem solving.
Knowledge of CARF accreditation requirements.
Knowledge of all aspects of holistic addiction treatment clinical care requirements.
