Why Work With Our Tax Team
As a Tax Manager, you will support our office tax team by monitoring, developing, training, and fully utilizing staff members.
Working with Directors and Partners, you will ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
Through your tax work you will be able to identify opportunities and recommendations for our clients’ tax needs.
You will leverage your expertise and judgement to manage client engagements and position Brown Edwards as a top tax consulting firm.
What Your Day Looks Like
Direct engagement timelines, budgets, schedules, Associate reviews, and work papers
Manage internal job scheduling by identifying staff competencies and schedules
Be a compliance champion with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Assist with research and planning according to the current laws and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Build and maintain client relationships by strategizing methods to minimize tax liabilities in accordance with current tax laws
Support Partners and Directors with audits, proposals, and other practice development and marketing activities
What You Need To Be Successful
A Bachelors or Master’s degree in accounting or related program
7+ years of public accounting or related experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required
Willingness to stay up to date through continuing education and continuous reading of professional journals
