*Job Description:* The *Laboratory Quality Program Director* oversees all quality related activities system wide within Centra Laboratories.
This includes the laboratory quality system, quality policies, proficiency testing program, safety, occurrence reporting, competency, and survey participation and readiness.
Oversees shared clinical staff embedded in each Centra laboratory location and directs quality related activities.
Ensures a consistent approach to all quality initiatives and reporting.
Lab Directors will be expected to work together to ensure seamless functioning of our lab as a system.
This may mean combining/sharing of resources, assessing volume and services provided at each site, shifting services, adding services, or stopping services on behalf of the organization.
*Requirements:* · *Required* Education: Bachelors Degree in Laboratory Sciences · *Required* Experience: Five or more (5+) years of experience in all aspects of Laboratory Medicine.
Three or more (3+) years of experience in laboratory leadership.
Ability to work within clinical areas at the familiarity level · Preferred Experience: Working knowledge of MS Office and data reduction software.
Understanding of, and ability to adapt to, laboratory informatics and computer software through self-directed initiatives.
Understanding of data reduction process, lean event, six-sigma, and root cause analysis, and implementation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Evidence of strong organization skills.
Evidence of emotional maturity.
Evidence of self-directed continuing education.
