Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Assist with patient assessments and documentation
- Perform basic nursing procedures such as wound care, dressing changes, and catheterization
- Provide patient education and support
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Follow aseptic technique and sterile processing protocols
- Assist with minor surgical procedures such as suturing and dermal fillers
- Perform basic IV therapy and manage IV lines
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as sonography and spinal taps
Experience:
- Must have a valid LPN license in the state of VA or Compact License
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic medical record systems is a plus
- Knowledge of basic nursing skills, including aseptic technique, dialysis, sterile processing, and wound care
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
