Description: We are seeking a part-time Coach/Educator to join our team; hours will be about 24-28 hours per week day shift.
· Supports each household to the highest level of work performance, resident well-being, and clinical outcomes.
· Works in collaboration with the Household Managers and RN Nursing Supervisors for optimal person directed living (PDL) as well as improved communication and coaching outcomes.
Trains and role model PDL Coaching and Communication to all team members on campus.
· Supports clinical outcomes by training all clinical staff and ensuring annual essential education and job competency requirements are assigned and completed.
· Provides support to the Director of Nursing with various tasks and projects as assigned.
Requirements: · Upholds the Person Directed Living Household Model.
· Plans, organizes, and implements all clinical education and training programs including CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid and new hire orientation.
CPR/First Aid Instructor (preferred) · Supports, mentors, and coaches the household for coaching communication skills.
· Coordinates all Nurse, CNA and RMA clinicals, work with the schools/organizations and coordinate who they will work with.
· Education/Training experience (preferred) · Assists with infection prevention measures.
Infection Preventionist Certification (preferred) · Advocates for the wants, desires, dreams, natural rhythms, power, choice, and preferences of the residents.
· Instructor for Certified Nurse Aid Program · Educates the Household Model and Person Directed Living for all staff.
· Supports the Self Organized Work Teams by insuring the power to make decisions in each household.
· Role models an empowered leadership styled with deep belief in the Household Coach(es) and Self-Organized Work Teams.
· Acts as the content expert for all things related to coaching and person directed living.
· Writes and communicates for all things related to coaching and person directed living to the Households and Westminster Canterbury community as a whole.
· Maintains a Work Process that is efficient, effective, and flexible in the Households.
· Inspires and supports others to move towards a common goal.
· Engages in continuous learning about change management principles.
· Works at all levels in the organization.
· Co-labors with the leadership group and other work groups as a team player.
· Models Humble Inquiry and Servant Leadership Attributes.
· Acts as a liaison between Westminster Canterbury and the change management consultation group.
· Outlines structured and planned events and trainings to continue the forward movement of coaching skills and person directed living.
· Assists with creating and updating healthcare policies and procedures that meet federal and state regulatory standards.
· Supports the DON with the Mentorship Program and the career development of clinical staff including a career ladder for Certified Nursing Aides.
· Provides resident care when needed to ensure adequate staffing.
Licensed to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Virginia Certification to train in CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid Infection Preventionist Certificated is preferred Previous long-term care experience is preferred.
