Job Description
Overview
The Materials Management Operations Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision and assignment of daily tasks for operational efficiency while ensuring the facility is in compliance of all best practices.
He/She will ensure accurate inventory levels security and excellent Customer Service representation for the department.
Responsibilities
Coordinates and supervises all work flow processes that are required to move supplies through the supply chain to all participating hospital departments and outlying facilities.
Works with Supply Chain Automation Coordinator and Supply chain systems to phase in new products backup on recommended order process and to coordinate with storeroom staff any changes that may affect product on the unit level.
Participates in fiscal and periodic inventories.
Works directly with Operations Manager on storeroom inventory level changes and additions.
Supervises weekly cycle count process and prepares reports.
Oversees and coordinates activities of receiving and distribution received from overnight ground and other transportation services on specials and non stock items.
Facilitates problem resolution for customers.
Collaborates with all disciplines with in the organization to enhance high quality care.
Performs all aspects of responsibility in a professional manner recognizing all departmental staff as customers.
Maintains good relations through open communication accurate information and timely follow up.
Possess flexibility to accommodate frequently changing priorities.
Performs industry research for alternatives.
Uses available technology to maximize efficiency.
Provides constructive input into department and organizational process improvement.
Utilizes multidisciplinary team approach to provide optimal patient care.
Function in compliance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
Ensures that all documentation is credible and accurate.
Ensure the punctual collection and delivery of medical items from healthcare facility.
Ensure that recipients sign delivery receipts and designations are verified.
Accurately count and take inventory of medical items to be collected or delivered.
Qualifications
Required Education: High School diploma / GED
Preferred Education: Two (2) year degree highly preferred
Preferred Experience: Three to five (3-5) years of warehouse operations experience.
Previous related work experience is desirable
