Peaks View Animal Hospital has a unique opportunity to mentor a veterinarian who has a special interest in surgery and would like to advance those interests.
Peaks View is a growing seven-doctor practice located in Lynchburg, Virginia.
The clinic has a significant medical and surgical caseload made up of both Peaks View clients and local referrals.
The senior veterinarian performed approximately 200 orthopedic procedures in 2021 .
The hospital performed 105 TTA surgeries in 2021 , which is the preferred CCL repair of the practice.
We are also currently mentoring a second veterinarian to perform these surgeries.
The opportunity for this position is due to the senior veterinarian’s desire to retire in the next few years, and the interest in mentoring the right candidate that will eventually take on the majority of the surgical caseload.
Responsibilities would not be exclusive to surgery initially but may evolve into a surgery-only position if the logistics and desire of the candidate allow.
Peaks View is a National Veterinary Associates joint-venture practice.
Associates who are committed to a long-term position will have eligibility to discuss a buy-in opportunity if they, along with the current partners, mutually desire this arrangement.
Once surgical training and experience have been achieved, the caseload at Peaks View could provide the full-time veterinarian who takes over the surgical caseload a salary based on production of over $200,000 annually.
This does not include potential ownership profit sharing.
While being mentored the candidate would have a base salary with a production bonus (pro-sal).
Starting base salary would be commensurate to experience and is negotiable, but ultimately the overall salary would be driven by production.
We are located in the beautiful rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, only a short drive to several lakes and mountains.
