Opportunity for bonus pay available:
Sign on bonus of $100.
00 payable on 3rd paycheck
Weekly accumulative longevity bonus of $15.
00 per week payable on last check of the season.
Full potential for longevity bonus for working all 15-week pool season 12 hours a week or more is $225.

Maximum total bonus potential for working all season is $325.

Essential Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES FOR ALL AREAS:
Demonstrates good public relations when dealing with participants, the general public and other city employees.
Treats citizens with respect and provides basic information as requested.
Positively encourages participant's participation of offered programs.
Receives and receipts money, preparing financial reports in conjunction with facility entrance fees, facility rental, program delivery, instructional classes or other activities as needed.
Keeps accurate records;
Accurately completes reports and records according to deadlines;
Maintains neat and clean work area;
Maintains confidentiality;
Follows directions and performs other duties as needed by supervisor and team members.
ESSENTIAL POOL CASHIER DUTIES:
Greets customers in a friendly and inviting manner; Answers inquiries or concerns related to aquatic programs, operational hours, and general questions through use of telephone or in person.
Performs responsible professional work collecting money and/or coupon books from patrons, accurately completing paperwork and other records,
Operates cash register; processes cash, makes change; processes check and credit card transactions and prepares daily deposits and paperwork;
Keeps clear and accurate daily admissions records and daily financial reports;
Utilizes general skills on a computer;
Adheres to City and Lynchburg Parks and Recreation Department policies and procedures;
Is punctual and prepared to begin work as scheduled;
Performs daily maintenance tasks to keep admissions area clean and assist with pool and grounds cleaning;
Supports aquatics staff during emergency situations and assists other personnel as needed;
Minimum Education and Experience Required
Prefer high school graduate with some experience on a cash register, in cash handling, or working in concession environment of some kind.
Good customer service skills.
Prefer candidates with a positive attitude who have experience in fast paced, high volume environments.
Additional Requirements
Positive attitude;
Some knowledgeable of Lynchburg Parks & Recreation facilities and our surrounding area;
16 years old or older by date of hire;
Must be willing to complete any additional task as assigned by a supervisor/manager;
Requires regular and consistent attendance.
