Job Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for writing, editing, designing, and enhancing content for communication channels including print, digital, video, and social media platforms.
This individual will require a strong attention to detail, creativity, teamwork, and a passion for enhancing the incredible work that the Watt Foster Family Foundation does in our community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop marketing materials and communications to be distributed to the community via print, digital, video, and social media platforms
Responsible for content creation, design, and overall execution of marketing strategy
Prepare well-structured drafts using using digital word processing and publishing platforms
Create short video content for marketing via digital media platforms
Use creativity, keen attention to detail, as well as a passion for grammar and spelling to write compelling and accurate content
Continually seek and research new marketing ideas and strategies for overall effectiveness
Maintain an inventory and directory of digital and print media support materials making sure all resources are accurate and current
Maintain Foundation website and content
Review, coordinate, and document all budget marketing expenditures with manager
Adapt to changing priorities.
Meet and exceed deadlines with minimal oversight
Coordinate with Foster Fuels and Southern VA Land and Properties on special projects, events, and marketing opportunities
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
BA/BS degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or similar field
1+ years experience in Marketing or a related field
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
)
Proven experience as a content creator, copywriter, or similar role
Experience with Content Management Systems
A high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management with the ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communicator and creative thinker
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency and skills in Adobe CC
Familiarity with SEO
Experience in web analytics software and keyword tool
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
After hour requirements as needed
