*General Position Summary:* The Associate Director of Communications serves as the point person for all of Johnson Health Center’s public relations and community engagement opportunities.
The individual assists in developing and implementing Johnson Health Center’s brand strategy.
The Associate Director of Communications creates and approves all JHC branded materials to ensure brand consistency.
The individual develops content and manages the company website, social media sites, and Google listings.
The individual works with the Patient Engagement, Development, and Human Resources teams to seek opportunities for relationship development with community organizations and potential stakeholders.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* 1.
Directs the creation, production, and distribution of all promotional materials such as press releases, newsletters, and publications (print and digital) and ensures the consistent use of all print and electronic branding assets such as letterhead and logos.
2.
Serves as the JHC point of contact for media relations and is responsible for managing JHC’s social media, website, and promotional content.
3.
Updates brand style guide as needed.
4.
Attends community functions to represent JHC.
5.
Strategically selects sponsorship opportunities and community outreach events that elevate JHC’s brand awareness.
6.
Works with the Director of Operations to create the annual promotional strategy and implement the plan as well as oversee the promotional budget.
7.
Works with the Associate Director of Development to enhance development strategy.
8.
Main point of contact for planning Johnson Health Center externally hosted events.
9.
Attends networking and recruiting events to promote Johnson Health Center brand, services, and career opportunities.
10.
Maintains inventory of JHC branded materials and promotional items, ensuring all are current and accurate, and coordinates the creation of new materials when necessary.
11.
Captures professional photos of JHC staff, locations, and events for use on the company website or other promotional materials.
12.
Serves on JHC’s Advocacy Committee and advocates at local, federal, and state levels on key issues impacting JHC and/or Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).
13.
Physical attendance is an essential element of the job and necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
14.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This includes and is not limited to JHC hosted events, fundraisers, and specific patient demographic outreach.

*Qualifications:* 1.
BSc/BA in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Health Promotion or a related field.
2.
Demonstrated knowledge of outreach methods, interviewing, and assessment techniques; 3.
3-5 years’ experience managing media relations (online, broadcast, and print).
Familiarity with project management software, website hosting platforms and video/photo editing is a plus.
4.
Well-developed communication skills (oral and written).
Experience as a company spokesperson.
5.
Must possess knowledge of a broad range of social service and assistance providers in the community.
6.
Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team and work effectively with community agencies.
7.
Proficient in technology.
8.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation required.
9.
Must have an acceptable driving record as demonstrated by a recent printout by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
*Physical Demand and Working Environment:* Fast paced office setting with travel to other offices often.
Lifting and/or exerting force up to 25 pounds occasionally, with frequently moving of objects.
Work requires speaking, sitting, bending, walking, standing, hearing, stooping, kneeling, and repetitive motion with certain activities.
Constant computer usage.
OSHA low risk position.
