*Primary Responsibilities Include:*
· Maintain and promote a teamwork environment with effective and clear communication among coworkers
· Have an “open door" policy for open communication within department
· Provide opportunities for cross-training, development, and growth
· Ensure hotel meets or exceeds budgeted goals including department-specific revenue goals and sales call goals.
· Follow company cross-sell procedures.
· Solicit business through personal calls, trips as needed, and networking.
· Develop and send informative press releases highlighting all activities as requested by the corporate office.
· Actively participate in industry and civic organizations, serving as a representative of the company to enhance our knowledge of local operations and activities.
· Continue to develop and educate self and staff.
· Take the lead with group bookings, site inspections, and visits, and in multi-person sales offices aid with group bookings, site inspections, and visits as needed.
Ensure implementation of property booking procedures.
· Work directly with the Host (General Manager) and the team on the market plan, quarterly plan, and budgets.
· Manage advertising, direct mail, and sales budget, making appropriate recommendations for realignment, when necessary.
· Monitor overall office workflow and make adjustments as necessary.
· Yield rates weekly with Host and FOM.
(Multi-person sales office includes Sales Manager and the Yield/Reservations Coordinator).
· Oversee and ensure the update of the different websites and the GDS.
· Responsible for training sales managers (multi-person sales office) and department heads on appropriate aspects of Cross Sell
· Meets or exceeds budgeted revenues for assigned market segment(s).
· Meets or exceeds call quotas and meets required mix of call types.
· Perform any projects assigned by the Host.
