Job Description
Central Virginia Community College is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
CVCC is a comprehensive two-year institution of higher education with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students in occupational/technical programs and university-parallel/college transfer programs.
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the CVCC Bedford Center.
Develop, implement and supervise program activities at the center.
Work with the academic administrators to design/plan credit and non-credit programs, and market these programs in the Bedford community.
Working with college and school administrators, and support personnel to coordinate program activities with the main campus offices for admission, registration, financial aid and other support services.
Oversee operations of the Bedford County Early College program.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
Experience in program development and implementation; working with the general public, community groups, business and industry, governmental agencies and educational institutions.
Strong oral and written communication skills; demonstrated organizational, managerial and budgeting skills; demonstrated ability to plan and implement marketing strategies for educational programs; ability to supervise and work with diverse groups; meet and assist the public, industry, and business personnel and compile information for statistical reports; knowledge of adult education needs.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
