The Quality Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and directing quality assurance policies, program, and initiatives.
The Quality Manager is tasked with defining and promoting a quality mindset across an entire company.
This role is responsible for managing all QA functions, working with cross-departmental leadership to deliver high quality products on schedule.
The Quality Manager is to establish and maintain a quality system to ensure a company’s facilities, equipment, personnel, methods, processes, and procedures conform to both internal guidelines, International Standards and regulatory requirements.
The Quality Manager is responsible for directing/managing the activities of Quality Engineers, Quality Leaders, and technicians in how to measure key quality conditions.
This role develops, implements, and revises quality standards, tools, methods, evaluates the performance of the production process and quality of resulting products to improve existing methods of operations and manufacturing processes that directly affects safety, quality, and productivity with the end result of producing a better quality product more efficiently.
This role requires time spent on the Production Floor working with the Production Team and Quality Engineers to be proactive in identifying Quality non-conformances.
Ensure compliance to our company's Quality policy, respond to customer complaints, perform audits, develop and perform test methods, and/or write validation protocols.
The Quality Manager will also serve as management representative for the Quality Management System, ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 & ISO 13485.
Quality Management Representative is the leader of the QMS and is the best way to ensure that the Quality Management System is effective, efficient, and improves over time.
As Quality Management Representative, the Quality Manager has direct access to leadership.
*Qualifications:*
Must have a BA or BS in appropriate discipline, or equivalent experience working in a Quality role and a minimum of 3 years in a management or leadership capacity.
Must be able to make sound judgments and decisions.
Knowledge of QA measuring and testing equipment, as well as have the willingness to learn new methods and systems.
Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, ISO 14644, ITAR, cGMP.
Quality Principals, a positive attitude, and a desire to succeed and is not intimated by confrontation.
This person must conduct themselves in a professional manner when discussing Quality issues whether it be to an Operator, Shift Leader, Manager or the Owner.
Must have mathematics, reading and writing skills.
Organizational skills, ability to prioritize daily tasks and work as a team member and have proficient computer skills.
