Trim Line Production Associate

The Company:
Sam Moore Furniture, a division of Hooker Furnishings Corporation (NASDAQ: HOFT), is currently recruiting for a Trim Line Production Associate to work in our plant in Bedford, VA.
Hooker Furnishings Corporation, in its 99th year of business, is a designer, marketer, and importer of case goods (wooden and metal furniture), leather furniture, and fabric-upholstered furniture for the residential, hospitality, and contract markets.

The Position:
We are looking for a dependable individual with a great attention to detail to join our upholstery team as an inspector.
Main duties include, but are not limited to:
Apply swivel mechanisms and base to units
Blow off unit/remove any ID stickers from cushions
Attach hang tags using tack gun
Remove bubble wrap from legs
Cut all strings on
Scan product ticket and apply compliance labels
Push unit to tray area
Lifting up to 25-50 pounds on a daily basis
Standing on feet for 8-hour shift
A candidate that is a great fit will:
Have previous manufacturing experience
Have a excellent attention to detail
Be willing and able to stand and maneuver the furniture for 9 hours per day
Enjoy making sure a quality product with no defects get to the customers
