What is your favorite activity in the garden? Watching the pollinators attracted to your native plants? Plucking a red, ripe tomato from the vine? Enjoying flowering houseplants on your windowsill? You’ll find plants to satisfy those interests and more at the 22nd annual Festival of Gardening sponsored by the Hill City Master Gardener Association on Saturday, May 4, on the grounds at E.
C.
Glass High School.
Rain or shine, Master Gardeners will offer plants for sale from 9 a.
m.
until 1 p.

For the Festival of Gardening, Master Gardeners (MGs) divide perennials and houseplants, grow bedding plants from seed, and care for those plants through sunless days and late frosts.
Featuring hybrid and heirloom varieties, there will be hundreds of tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, and many other plants for the vegetable garden.
Hostas, exotic tropical plants, and native plants known to attract pollinators may be purchased as well.
Wild geranium, Culver’s root, blue-eyed grass, golden rod, elderberry, ginger, obedient plant are just a few of the unusual varieties available at the Festival.
As these offerings are the result of individual MG efforts, some will be in short supply (come early for best selection) and others will have many from which to choose.
Like any group of enthusiastic gardeners, individual MGs take special interest in certain types of plants and growing techniques.
Each of them will be happy to answer your questions and discuss successful ways of handling that special plant.
In addition, books, planters, and a variety of items to adorn your garden will be sold at good prices by our Garden Treasures committee.
All of this will be on the Langhorne Road side of E.
C.
Glass just outside the city auditorium.
Ample parking will be available in the parking lot just to the right of the sale site.
