*Position Overview*:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Support Specialist to join our team assisting in the maintenance and management of our two distribution centers in Lynchburg, VA and Asheville, NC.
This position will report into Reporting directly into the Senior Facilities Manager.
The Facilities Support Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our distribution centers remain in optimal condition to support our operations .

*Key Responsibilities:*
· Assist in the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of all facilities within the distribution network, including warehouse spaces, grounds, and office spaces.
· Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify any maintenance issues or safety hazards and take appropriate action to address them.
· Coordinate with internal resources to schedule repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, including plumbing, electrical, and other building repairs.
· Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to schedule and oversee housekeeping, repairs and maintenance work that cannot be performed in-house.
· Respond to facilities-related emergencies and service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
· Assist in the implementation of facility improvement projects, including renovations, expansions, and equipment upgrades.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and expenditures.
· Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and Safety, to ensure that facilities meet operational needs and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
· Support the Senior Facilities Manager in various administrative tasks, such as budgeting, reporting, and documentation.
*Qualifications:*
· Associate of Engineering, 2-year trade program degree or equivalent; additional vocational training HVAC/Electrical certification in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
· Proven experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
· Experience with building code, fire systems or HVAC inspections.
· Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems.
· Proficiency in using tools and equipment commonly used in facilities maintenance and repair work.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
· Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours and respond to facilities emergencies as needed.
