We are seeking a Receptionist between the hours/days Wednesday 4:30-10pm, Thursday 4:30-10pm, Friday 4:30-10pm and every other Saturday 5pm-10pm

GENERAL OVERVIEW
This position is responsible to perform administrative duties and to support the daily functions of The Summit.
The Receptionist/Concierge will communicate courteously and promptly with residents, visitors, family members, physicians, and staff.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of LifeSpire of Virginia.
Answers the telephone and promptly directs/delivers message to appropriate person.
Schedule appointments for residents with outside physician.
Call residents with appointment and pick up times when The Summit is providing transportation.
Cheerfully greets residents, visitors, families, physicians, salespeople and assist as needed.
Coordinate pickup times for residents at various doctor offices during the day and contact drivers for resident pick up.
Assists with the coordination of medical transportation for residents in all levels of care.
Handle mail correspondence as assigned to include sorting and delivery of staff mail and visitor delivered mail, as necessary.
Performs all other duties as assigned in a prompt and cooperative manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Exceptional ability to plan and organize work and to multi-task efficiently.
General knowledge of office procedures, including computer skills, typing, and filing.
Pleasant personality and telephone manner.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, facility staff and public.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

The Summit has two communities, on one campus, providing a continuum of care for residents.
At The Summit Independent Living and The Summit Assisted Living, we care for our residents and provide them with access to additional services provided by The Summit Health & Rehab Center through a partnership agreement with Hill Valley Healthcare (the operators of The Summit Health & Rehab).
We provide care coordination for our residents and team members as both communities work together to provide consistent, quality care through the full continuum of care for all Summit residents.
