Student Financial Services (SFS) Work Study employees are responsible and accountable to the Administrative Specialist for Student Financial Services at Liberty University.
The SFS Work Study employee provides onsite support and assistance to ensure the day-to-day operations of Guillermin Financial Center (GFC) are functioning smoothly.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Administrative Specialist with event planning SFS staff and student events including Military Graduation ceremony, Military family fun day, FCI tabling events, CFAW, etc.
Assist Administrative Specialist with daily needs within GFC office including monitoring the front desk
Assist Administrative Specialist with document management tasks such as sorting mail, indexing Microfiche, filing work, etc.
Assist Administrative Specialist with other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
At least a second-year student at Liberty University in good standing (no reprimands or suspensions)
Cumulative GPA of 2.
5 or higher
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, and weekends.
Excellent and detail oriented communication, arithmetic, and organizational skills
Ability to utilize a calculator and computer including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Individual must not be convicted of, or pled nolo contendere or guilty to, a crime involving the acquisition, use, or expenditure of federal, state, or local government funds, -or- be administratively or judicially determined to have committed fraud or any other material violation of law involving federal, state, or local government funds (CFR 668.
14(b)(18)(i)).
Must pass various background checks, including, but not limited to, a check at the time of initial employment

Individual must not be in default on any federal student or parent loan
Must provide own transportation
Ability to articulate and defend the unique Christian educational mission and vision of Liberty University and its subsidiaries to a wide variety of individuals and groups.

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is typically a climate-controlled office setting though some work on-site outdoor locations (weather permitting) may occur
