The Gate Coordinator assists students from the time they apply for Practicum through their post-graduate application for licensure.
This position serves in a customer-service, advisory role in assisting students through the Practicum and Internship placement process answering a high number of student emails and phone calls in a professional and timely manner.
This position also assists with the approval process of the Counseling Practicum and Internship for all Counselor Education & Family Studies programs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities 1.
Assists with developing, editing, and maintaining student files, documents, websites, and course content.
2.
Provides technical support to faculty and to students 3.
Assists in developing training tutorials and handouts to support faculty and students.
4.
Delivering presentations in intensive courses and in residential classrooms including information on CPCE, practicum, and internship.
5.
Correspondence with students via email, phone, and office visits.
6.
Assists with various licensure standards in all states to verify graduates licensure verification.
7.
Any other duties needed/assigned.
8.
Must possess an understanding of confidentiality and integrity when dealing with student records.
Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies Minimum Qualifications: 1.
Bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years administrative/customer service experience.
2.
Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
3.
Strong organizational skills.
4.
Detail oriented.
5.
Able to work in concert with a team.
6.
Able to work independently.
7.
Able to take feedback and direction well.
8.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9.
Able to provide superb customer service to both faculty and students.
10.
Able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgement in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
11.
Understanding of confidentiality and integrity when dealing with student records.
Preferred Qualifications: 1.
Experience with Canvas and Banner.
2.
Experience with LiveText.
3.
Strong technical competency.
4.
Superior ability to prioritize tasks.
