edu Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties Virginia Military Institute, an NCAA Division I and Southern Conference member, is seeking candidates for an Assistant Track and Field Coach - Distance/Cross Country.
The selected candidate will report to the Director of Track and Field/Cross Country.
Job Duties: The successful candidate will assist with organizing and directing all phases of the Track and Field program, to include the recruitment of student-athletes, coordination of team travel and other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Track and Field/Cross Country while following the rules of VMI, the Southern Conference, and NCAA.
Instructs student-athletes in playing techniques and skills, the subtleties of game rules and collaborative team drills.
Minimum Qualifications Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree as well as significant coaching experience.
USATF Level 2 Endurance or USTFCCCA Endurance course.
Additional Considerations USTFCCA Strength and Conditioning Advance certification or CSCS certification.
