The selected candidate must live within a 50-mile radius of Lynchburg, VA and will have the flexibility to work from their home office.
Candidate will also be expected to travel about 50% of the time, locally and throughout the central portion of Virginia.
What you will be doing:
As a Right of Way Agent, you will be taking the lead on acquiring easements for broadband fiber, electric distribution, and/or electric transmission projects.
Will bring a more reliable power source to communities through line rebuilds or the creation of new lines which will in turn upgrade the power source to new standards.
Will conduct advanced right of way negotiations with high-risk landowners.
You will be responsible for preparing settling damages, real estate documents, performing property research, ensuring compliance with company standards, and providing construction support.

Here are the Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of one (1) year of Right of Way acquisition experience
Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Dropbox
Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
Valid Driver’s License
Bonus points if you have experience working on fiber or electric utility projects and an active Virgina Notary

Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data.
The employee is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff.
This role requires the employee to occasionally travel to meet with clients or vendors which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations.
While meeting with clients and vendors, will need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes.
May be exposed to the elements (heat, rain, snow, cold).
