Job Summary/Objective:
Sweet Briar College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Business beginning Fall 2024.
We are seeking candidates with professional experience and teaching interests in Financial and Managerial Accounting, Finance, and related business areas.
Teaching responsibilities will include Accounting and Finance as well as courses in the candidate's areas of expertise.
Our teaching load is 3 course equivalents per semester.
The College’s academic calendar, with immersive three-week terms bookending traditional 12-week terms, creates an opportunity for innovative courses to take advantage of close student faculty interactions and collaboration across disciplines.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make contributions to our women’s leadership and core curriculum.

Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or a related field from an AACSB accredited institution;
Minimum of 3-5 years’ professional working experience in public accounting and/or private industry;
Demonstrated excellence in teaching;
Demonstrated interest in working across disciplines and engaging in collaborative scholarship, teaching, and service; and
Excellent communication skills.
