Working independently and exercising good judgment and discretion, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Director and Directors and as directed to other LU Serve staff.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1.
Remains abreast and notifies Executive Director and Directors of any existing and emerging LU processes and procedures related to administrative duties.
2.
Maintains, organizes, and provides resourcing for front office operations relating to visitors, customer-service, and Student Work Assistants.
3.
Utilizes a high-level of accuracy in preparing and entering delegated Student Work Assistant payroll information and weekly schedule.
4.
Proactively consults Directors concerning any equipment and supplies for the purposes of stocking and recording inventory, creates filing systems, and submits and reviews any needed facility requests.
5.
Delegates appropriate responsibilities as needed to LU Serve Student Work Assistants.
6.
Provides proactive consulting to Directors regarding any hosting of internal and external visitors and guests, and executes delegated hosting assignments.
7.
Assist students, faculty, and CSER supervisors with policy questions and procedures pertaining to CSER, CSER Course Pathing, and any new experiential education initiatives.
8.
Appropriately supports any LU Serve engagement activities.
9.
Records notes and summarizes any requested LU Serve team meetings.
10.
Plan, coordinate, and execute all LU Serve projects and opportunities as directed.
11.
Work effectively as a team member of LU Serve; embracing and fostering the mission and events of OSD and Liberty University.
REQUIRED & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience:
Four-year college degree
2+ years of practical bookkeeping experience.
A demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting, data and administrative practices and procedures.
Well-developed communications skills.
Preferred Experience:
Experience and knowledge of Infor, BuyLU, and Microsoft Office Program Software.

Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting.
It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate.
Driving Requirements
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position.
Occasionally required to travel to local and campus locations.
Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
