We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Assistant to join our team.
As a Daycare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, ensuring the well-being of the children, and supporting the lead teacher in implementing educational programs.
```Responsibilities```
- Assist with the supervision and care of children in a daycare setting
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children
- Assist with mealtime routines, including feeding and cleaning up
- Support the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and lesson plans
- Provide basic first aid and comfort to children when needed
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with other daycare staff to ensure smooth operations
```Qualifications```
- Previous experience working with children, such as in early childhood education, childcare, babysitting, toddler care, nannying, or similar roles
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to maintain a safe and positive learning environment
- Basic understanding of classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with preschool curriculum is a plus
- Special education experience or training is a plus
